Kirsten Bibbins-Domingo, PhD, MD, MAS is Professor and Chair of the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, and the Lee Goldman, MD Endowed Professor of Medicine. She is the inaugural Vice Dean for Population Health and Health Equity in the UCSF School of Medicine. She is the UCSF Principal Investigator for the NIH funded SF BUILD Program.

My research interests are the epidemiology and prevention of infectious and tropical diseases of public health importance, both internationally and domestically, with a primary focus on HIV and AIDS.

As an Associate Professor, my research focuses on applying epidemiological methods to study the impact of individual, social, and structural factors on disease transmission within marginalized populations. In particular, my work has focused on using qualitative and quantitative methods to examine social determinants of health within people who use drugs, including HIV and hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection, worldwide.

Mike Reid, MD

Mike Reid is Chief Medical Officer for the UCSF Pandemic Initiative for Equity and Inclusion (UPIEA), an assistant professor of Medicine in the Division of HIV, Infectious Diseases and Global Medicine, and an infectious disease physician at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center. He oversees UCSF’s contact-tracing work for the San Francisco Department of Public Health and provides strategic direction and oversight on statewide and global COVID-19 technical assistance and training efforts.
