Our Triple Aims
Our Triple Aims
- Recognizing positive representation in science
- Creating an affirming, non-hierarchical structure
- Creating a sense of belonging to a community of scientists
What should I expect this summer in VBRC?
This summer you will gain experience with coding and analyzing data sets. You’ll also get the opportunity to collaborate with NIH BUILD Scholars to answer a research question and present your findings at the conclusion of the program.
What if I am new to coding and need help?
We have you covered. This summer you will have the opportunity to ask questions to your near peer mentor if you’re feeling stuck. You’ll also have the opportunity to reach out to Dr. Bailey for research help. Last year’s VBRC student rated Dr. Bailey highly and he’s enthused to work with NIH BUILD Scholars this year again.
I have not failed. I have just found 10,000 things that do not work.
Our research theme this summer will be Resistance and Resiliency. We are looking forward to working with you this summer to develop your research skills.
